Ephesians Week 7 Day 2

Eph 4:17-32

1. Paul commands us to put off the old self and to
refrain from lying, sinful anger, stealing, sexual
immorality and other sins. What sins are you
struggling with right now? Take time to bring these
before the Lord and know that even though we
struggle with our selves, the Lord still delights in us
and the journey we are making to a “new self”.
2. Paul says to put off the old self and to put on the
new self. Identify specific habits that you can
attribute to your “old self”. What are some specific
ways you can start putting off this old self? What
attributes of a “new self” do you feel are currently
being cultivated in you right now?
3. Paul tells us to not say anything that’s
unwholesome, but to instead say things that build
one another up. Have you ever noticed how easy it
is to make fun of someone and how difficult it is to
give them a genuine, well thought-out compliment?
Are there people in your life who are difficult for
you to be kind to? Why is it so much easier to
gossip or to be rude to people than to encourage
them?
